This piece was created to show the importance of Hornbills is Nagaland culture. The Hornbill is so important to their culture; they hold an annual festival named after the bird.
They see the bird as globally respected, and it has a part in most of their tribe's folklore. They symbolize beauty, grandeur and alertness.
To illustrate each of these views, I chose to use natural symbolism.
